MATTHEW Perry is proud that his role on Friends still influences modern language.

The actor — who played Chandler Bing alongside Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox among others — takes credit for modern-day sarcasm.

“It’s very flattering that it changed the way that people talked a little bit,” says Matthew.

“It’s that sarcastic way of going about things. That is just really flattering.”

Perry recently revealed he wants his former Friends costars to appear in his new show Mr Sunshine.

“People ask a lot about guest stars but we’re a little bit early for that,” says Matthew. “There’s a lot of talk about will I ask some of my former cast mates to be on the show, and I think ultimately, yes.

“In the third season then maybe some of them can come back, but I don’t want to use them as sort of a launching pad.”
